Carrying the brunt of a princely $2 million KEESEP award plus a host of well-known co-owners including Stonestreet Farm breeders, Capensis (Tapit) will be unveiled at this location for coach Todd Pletcher. Out of GI Santa Margarita S. winner Tara’s Tango (Unbridled’s Song), it’s half of another multi-million purchase from Alexander Valley (Medaglia d’Oro) – a $2,150,000 purchase from KEESEP by Godolphin. Capensis enters the race on a ball four furlongs at the Saratoga practice track in: 49.99 on June 24. Gray is out of a half-sister to MGISP Scarlet Strike (Smart Strike), which itself produced G3 Weatherbys Hamilton Supreme S. Conqueror Toro Strike (Toronado {Ire}). The dam is also half of Bishop S. winner of GI NetJets King, Visionaire (Grand Slam), Luna (Tapit) of GSW Madison and dam of entry winners Windmill (Street Sense) and Ignitis (Nyquist). TJCIS PP

Live Oak Plantation will send its 2021 FTSAUG supply of $625,000 to Sam-son Farm in the form of Ticker Home (Medaglia d’Oro) against a large field of 12 juvenile fillies in this sprint competition. In Mark Casse’s barn, and with a slate of sharp work under her belt, including a four furlongs breeze on the synthetic track in :47.60 (6/75) on June 25, she was installed at 7-2 for the unveiling. Ticker Tape Home is out of GSW & MGSP Journey Home (War Front), which sold for $650,000 at KEENOV last year at KatieRich Farms, and is second in runs behind the unplaced Determined Empire (Empire Maker ), which sold for $240,000 at FTKSEL in 2020. Second dam Soul Search (AP Indy) was placed in the GI Juddmonte Spinster and the GI Personal Ensign S. before producing seven winners, including the winner at 11 times Bold Shot (Curlin), and is half of the GSP Reform Act (Lemon Drop Kid) as well as the dam of multiple Stakes winners Lunar Victory (Speightstown) and The Tea Cups (Hard Spun).
