The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation has added $340,000 to augment its existing scholarship funds at Albright College, in support of sophomores, juniors and seniors with financial need who have demonstrated commitment to leadership and service.
Initially endowed with a grant of $1 million in 2010, the Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler fund was increased two years later by an additional $400,000. An additional $200,000 has been added in 2020 and 2021. To date, 214 Stabler scholarships have been awarded to Albright students.
“We are celebrating another step forward in our strategic vision, working together to build a sustainable financial model that focuses on students and their needs, the thriving well-being of our entire community, and returning the life-changing benefits of an Albright education also available. to talented and determined students from the widest range of socioeconomic backgrounds,” said Albright President Jacquelyn S. As tuition increases, need-based federal grants generally do not change for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, often creating unexpected bills that make it difficult for these students to complete college. Therefore, Albright is expanding its efforts to secure philanthropic support and build a dedicated endowment for scholarships and need-based aid for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
