Proof Authentication Announces Closure of Series A Funding and Appointment of Brand Protection Veteran Dan McKinnon as New CEO



BOSTON–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Proof Authentication Corporation today announced that Dan McKinnon has been named CEO in its recently closed Series A funding. Prior to joining Proof, Dan was responsible for global brand protection at New Balance, one of the world’s largest footwear and sportswear manufacturers. New York-based VCFA Group led the round to fund the secondary buyout of DSS Digital, Inc., a leader in anti-counterfeiting authentication technologies and brand protection solutions, from its parent company Document Security Systems, Inc. (NYSE: DSS). The funding will also provide growth capital to help Proof achieve its mission of building the world’s best anti-counterfeit authentication solutions.
