InSites acquires Space Doctors, specialist in cultural knowledge

InSites Consulting acquired Space Doctors, a UK-based brand consulting firm, for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 2001 by Fiona McNae (photo), Space Doctors applies non-traditional semiotic approaches to the development of branding, innovation and cultural knowledge. The consulting firm includes a team of in-house experts – located in Brighton, London and Singapore – and a global network of semioticians, anthropologists, ethnographers and designers. Combined with its proprietary ‘collaborative intelligence’ approach, which uses social media and text analytics to track the cultural impact of brands at scale, Space Doctors provides trend prediction services for brands and organizations. .

InSites says that through the agreement, it will build an extended and complementary offering, reinforced by its own Culture + Trends capability, which was originally developed by Join the Dots (acquired by InSites in 2019) and is based on a cadre of “human drivers”. rooted in positive psychology. Following the acquisition, InSites intends to create a global brand transformation consulting firm comprised of strategists, cultural knowledge specialists, design experts and marketing scientists.

Space Doctors will continue to operate under its current name until further notice.
