Acrisure continues its global expansion with the acquisition of Summa Brokerage in Spain

Acrisure, an American financial services and insurance brokerage company based in Michigan, announces that it has acquired one of the leading insurance brokerage companies in Spain, Summa Insurance Brokerage.

Since its inception in 2005, Summa has increased its revenue to more than 11.5 million euros ($13 million) and expanded its offices and franchises throughout Spain, according to the announcement.

The acquisition is Acrisure’s first expansion into the Spanish market. The agreement brings to 10 the number of countries where the company is physically present. This follows Acrisure’s recent announcement of its acquisition of Brazilian company It’sSeg last October and its existing operations in Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK.

The agreement brings Summa into Acrisure’s global network which provides insurance, reinsurance, asset management, real estate and cyber services.

“Partnering with Acrisure will be extremely valuable to us as we integrate their technology-driven approach and capabilities into our operations,” said Jose Antonio Vargas Gonzalez, President and CEO of Summa.

Acrisure has grown its revenue from $38 million to more than $3.5 billion in eight years and is present in 10 countries.
